About Us
NEW OPTIONS DEVELOPMENT CENTER, INC is a nonprofit 501c(3) founded on August 23, 2007 by Phyllis A. Stewart in Edenton North Carolina as a secondary approach to assist Juveniles, At – Risk children and the needs of vulnerable individuals and families within urban and rural communities. On August 29, 2020 NODC, Inc. nominated Benjamin F. Burum, Jr., as the President and Director of Operations. With the commitment to assisting families NODC Inc was relocated to Houston TX. Since its relocation, NODC, Inc has become internationally known, establishing a partnership collaboration in Uganda Africa with several organizations. (International Great Faith Ministries, Berakhah Child Care, Honey-Bee International, Blessed Hills School and God Extension Ministries to name a few). We are located at 12600 Bissonnet Suite A-4 Box 401 Houston, TX 77099.

Our name
The name “NODC” was created by our CEO & Founder Phyllis A. Stewart, because she saw the
need to adding something NEW to assist vulnerable youth and individuals in and around her
Our Logo
Our logo has been updated the first logo was a four colored bullseye that stood for; Yellow-Education/Tutoring; Orange-Mentoring; Green-Career Coaching and Red-College Preparation. The updated logo which has the World that symbolizes our global impact. The Dove represents peace, the Book represent knowledge, the Hammer in hand represent building the community, and the Olive Branch represents the Hope within all communities, And the words Community Commitment, reminds us that it takes a committed individual to make
